Two nights in a row I’ve dreamt that I discovered the answer.

“The answer to what?” my boyfriend asked me.
“The answer to everything,” I tell him.

I’ve been writing a book for a long time. Not any one single book, it changes. Sometimes I’m working on one or another, then come back to the original or start a new one. An endless list of books in my head all fighting to get out, trying to find the time.

Not the answer to everything, but the answer to one thing, I realized a few weeks ago that those almost-written-books have been fighting for pre-approval of the reader in my mind. That’s why I can’t seem to exorcise them.

So now I’m working on a different book. No revivals, brand new. A book I want to write for myself to read, nobody else.

Maybe I'll share it when it's done,
maybe I'll selfishly consume it in private;
I haven't decided.

It’s important to do things for your own valuation.

You can always find someone on the outside who loves what you do, and who hates what you do, and who doesn’t really give a shit what you do.

But the person on the inside, they’re the one who counts. What do they you think?

I’m not god. I can’t control other people; hell I can’t even control myself every second of every day. But I can find what satisfies my mitochondria((FUN FACT: humans can’t survive without mitochondria, the organelles that power most human cells. ?)) .

5 Things I Do For Me, Myself, & I

1. Eat Raw Meat

Just because it makes me feel the healthiest and happiest, and sometimes I share it with the outside world because I think questioning what you think you “know” is a good thing.

2. Lift Weights Consistently

I used to be a total cardio queen, but found changing to weight training and minimizing how much cardio I do actually makes me happier. I really don’t care what other people think I look like((Genuinely, though it might surprise people to know I avoid attention and compliments on my appearance.)), just how I think I look and feel.

If you like to weight-train too you’re welcome to swipe any of my workout routines in the HEVY app((Like this monster leg day…

)).

3. Walk The Coast

I try to walk the coast every day with Ms Dora, at least once.

4. Roller Skate

I don’t roller skate as often as I’d like to, but when I do it’s just for me. Also, any excuse to wear a fanny pack is a good excuse in my book.

5. Ambulance Living ?

Believe it or not, I didn’t choose #vanlife to be a cool kid. This one was all just for me. It’s neat that living in an ambulance is inspiring for other people, but for me it’s just nice living a simple life.

Do you have 5 things you do just for yourself? What are they?
